It's hard to believe it's real, that today I wake up without you here. The connection we built, all those moments, what happens to that now? Where does it go?

There were so many choices, so many moments where we felt strong, convinced we had it all figured out. But now, it feels like we’ve hit a point where everything is breaking down.

I still love you, deeply. And I intend to keep loving you, even if it’s in a different way now. I want to keep sharing life with you, just not how we imagined. I want us to be there for each other when it matters, to stay close.

Maybe intense bonds don’t have to be reserved for romantic relationships. Maybe we couldn’t make it work the usual way, but we can reinvent what we are. Let’s love other people, but let’s keep loving each other too.
